How to recover Permanently deleted text messages on iPhone

How to get deleted text messages on iPhone:

1- Using (iCloud):

The process involves restoring your device with data from a recent (iCloud) backup. Any messages that were on your phone at the time of the backup can be recovered. And you should be aware that your phone may not back up to iCloud and even if it does, it may not back up the information from the Messages app. So before following the steps below, you may need to backup your text messages.

  1. Go to Settings > General. Then scroll down and tap Reset. This method deletes the data currently stored on your iPhone and then restores your iPhone with the data from a recent backup. Any new messages or other content that occurred after the last backup was lost.
  2. Click on Erase All Content and Settings.
  3. Turn on your iPhone and start setting it up as if it were new.
  4. When you get to the window titled Apps & Data, you should select Restore from (iCloud) Backup.
  5. Your iPhone may ask you to sign in to your iCloud account with your Apple ID and password.
  6. A list of recent backups appears. If there is more than one backup, you can choose which backup you want to use by checking its date and time.
  7. Wait for a while for the data transfer process to complete. Once done, you should have all the messages and data you had at the time of the backup you selected.

2- Using (iTunes):

If you regularly sync your iPhone with iTunes on your Mac instead of iCloud, iTunes has a backup available every time you sync, unless you turn off the feature to automatically sync your iPhone with your computer. If you want to restore this text message and you are backing up your iPhone to your computer, it can most likely be recovered using a recent backup. But this method erases the data currently on your iPhone and replaces it with a snapshot of the data that was on your iPhone the last time you backed it up. If you are not ready to do this, you may prefer another method.

  1. Connect your iPhone to your computer using an appropriate cable. Your iPhone may ask you to unlock it. if that’s how it is.
  2. If (iTunes) does not open automatically, you must open (iTunes) on the computer manually.
  3. To find your iPhone in (iTunes), you should look for the small icon of your iPhone below and to the right of the Power button. It must be specified. If you have more than one connected device, you must select an iPhone from the dropdown list.
  4. In the Backups section on the right side of the summary screen , you should see the options to backup and restore your iPhone manually, along with the date and method of the most recent backup. You must select Restore Backup to continue.
  5. The latest backup replaces all the data on your phone. The process takes some time. And you should see your lost text messages if the latest backup was made before it was deleted.

3- Use a third-party app for your iPhone:

If none of the above methods worked for you, then the next option is to try a third-party app to recover your deleted text messages. There are plenty of apps designed to help you recover deleted text messages, many of which offer free trials and can be used to recover other types of lost data from iPhone as well.

Some of the text message recovery apps for iPhone that have received positive reviews include:

  • (Enigma Recovery).
  • (PhoneRescue).
